I know it’s been a while since I last posted but I went from having no inspiration to having too many ideas to write about! I’ll start with my One Word for 2016. I mentioned in a previous post that I usually choose a word to center my whole year around. I pray about it and meditate on it and eventually the word comes to me. This year’s word took much longer to be chosen than in the past. I’m hoping that’s a good sign and means I really need to pay attention to it.

My word for this year is peace. It’s very fitting considering the devotional I received over Christmas is Jesus Calling: Enjoying Peace in His Presence by Sarah Young. Add in my Miracle Morning routine and my mornings have become very peaceful lately. Now to add peace to the rest of my day.

I’ve got some super secret plans in the works to help me find that peace I’m looking for in my work life, but it’s a very long term plan. Now I just need to find ways to be more peaceful in my relationships and home life. This is another time that prayer and meditation are helpful.

So, do you have one word for the year? Let me know in the comments!

  1. I love this! Peace is definitely something we all need and it’s hard to find these days. I’m not doing a “One Word” technically, but I do have a word to be mindful of this year and it’s “Fearless.” I have trouble getting out of my comfort zone, but those goals I want to hit aren’t going to be hit unless I do that.
